Where in Lagos is UNILAG located?

The University of Lagos is located in Akoka, a suburb of Yaba area of Lagos. Akoka is a home to not just UNILAG, but also the Federal College of Education (Technical). Yaba is also home to the Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech), one of the best polytechnics in Nigeria.

Getting to UNILAG from anywhere is quite easy. From any part of Lagos, find your way to Yaba — the Yaba bus stop to be precise. Adjacent the bus stop lies the Presbyterian Church and the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Yaba. Locate the turning next to the Presbyterian Church, and you’ll see school buses meant to convey students and other people going to the UNILAG campus in Akoka.

Note, however, that UNILAG has another campus in Idi-Araba, near Mushin area of Lagos. The other campus is called the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. There, you’ll find the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH and the UNILAG faculties of basic medical sciences, clinical sciences, dental sciences, and pharmacy.
